Hi folks,

First off let me congratulate the devs for another great release. STK is by far the game I play most.

I've been playing STK for several years now without a hitch. It should also be noted that I've been using a 'Thrustmaster Firestorm' gamepad successfully during this time. I just updated to V7 over 6.2 on both 10.10 Maverick and WinXP. I've also tried the standalone version on linux.

I have no problem with the gamepad, however I can't seem to get single player mode to use it (All OS's). The only way I seem to be able to use it is if I go into multiplayer mode (press fire for new player). Is there any way to specify that the single player use the gamepad? Does is have something to do with device priority (keyboard/gamepad)? Is there a way to set priority?

Any suggestions would be welcome... Thanks again for this awesome game.

Hi,

just already use the gamepad to select 'race', then the game will know that you are using the gamepad (and that you are not using the keyboard, in which case the gamepad is triggering a new player).

Sometimes I think I can't see the forest for the trees. I can't believe that I didn't see that.

When Conso and I designed the menus, we never thought this would cause so much confusion
Maybe we'll need to change that, though hard to make a menu both clear and not-annoying (i.e. it would be easy to add a menu "choose which input device you wish to use", but that would be annoying as hell )

Maybe a small blurb like "Select option with desired input device" in the main menu would help. (Or offer this info in the help section... That's the first place I looked).
