City Lights and Industry bugs ?

Hi everybody,

I hope I'm not making a duplicate ; I've been searching before and have'nt find obviously related posts.

So, "City Lights" does'nt play normally since many versions ; in 0.9.3 (on OpenSuse Tumbleweed, Asus laptop with Nvidia 940M) it's worse : the streets are grey, most of decorations are missing and above all I run most of the time through black veils that hide the scenery ; this track is not playable for me.

"Industry" is playable for the most part but there is an invisible obstacle in the middle of the road on the 3rd turn (1st one is the left turn just after starting, then a long straight road, then a 90° right turn, and then this left turn around a container - the obstacle is just before passing under a bridge). Even IA karts will bump on it, it's not related to any element of the scene. You can avoid it by the left but you'll generally meet the street lamp which stands in the corner ...

All the others tracks are working well for me. Let me know if you have the same issues.

Hi and welcome to the forums. :)
We don't support add-ons directly, so someone in the community would probably have to get hold of the source files and modify/re-export the tracks in question. Getting hold of those source files might be tricky, as they might just have been on the old forum which got lost in a hardware failure some years back. But someone may have them lying around somewhere.

For Industry, is this the same issue as this: https://github.com/supertuxkart/stk-code/issues/2485 ?
I'm not the author of that track but I will try to fix this (the source file is on the addons website), it sounds like it would be really easy.

For City Lights I only found an old source file in the forum (https://forum.freegamedev.net/viewtopic ... =50#p38649).
And this sounds like it is way more difficult to fix. And it looks like the author (https://forum.freegamedev.net/memberlis ... ile&u=1782) was not active on this forum since 2003.
Maybe we could mail him and ask if he can upload the sources to the addon's website?

@Vorona: there is an extra bug tracker for addons, see here: http://addons.supertuxkart.net/bugs/

There you can make another bug report for city lights.
The bug in Industry is already there but you could add your detailed description as a comment

Thanks for looking things up Mr.XX99, I had forgotten more than I thought, and it would have been fiddly to check on my phone.

@Mr.XX99 : thanks too ! I did'nt know all that, sorry for having posted for add-ons. Btw, I was surprised to learn that City Lights was so "old" !

@Vorona: just realized for Industry there is already a fix, the at the end of the github issue (https://github.com/supertuxkart/stk-code/issues/2485) there is a download link
