Controller pads (no keyboard) only?

We want to play STK with just game pads, no keyboard. We stopped playing STK years ago because this wasn't possible. By any chance has this changed?
We're using Windows 7 x64 btw.

I've done that before, so yeah, it's possible.

When we get online play in the future, a keyboard may be required to login (username/password) for online play. Everything else is intended to be playable with a gamepad

What is a keyboard required for? Gamepads don't always work for the addons screen, but I usually don't touch the keyboard for STK
