xeno74 {l Wrote}:If I select nineteen karts, then some karts double. Could Beastie (Chuck) add to STK 0.7?

No, it's too late to add a kart to stk - besides, then we would still need (a lot of) additional karts to avoid doubles.

STK 0.7 is in the FreeBSD ports tree.

Waki87 has that port integrated. Thank you Waki87 :)

As far as I know Chuck (ok, Beastie) doesn't have winning/losing animations and (imho) it should be polished a bit. But I'm not a developer so let them decide what to do :)
Update: seems like I forgot to reload the page and see some answers :)

The official Mac OS X app runs fine on:

Mac OS X 10.6.5 Snow Leopard
Mac OS X 10.4.11 Tiger PowerPC

It does not work on:

Mac OS X 10.3.9 Panther :(

I built an unofficial app for Mac OS X 10.3.9 Panther :)

Download: SuperTuxKart-0.7rc1-macosx-panther-10.3.9.dmg.zip (supertuxkart.de)

Screenshot (Click to enlarge):

In the official dmg is missing the dmg background on Mac OS X 10.4.11 Tiger.

Hi,

sorry for not taking a closer look at the updated canyon track right now; it's just that we are now in feature freeze for 0.7, and thus we are concentrating on fixing bugs (too late to change tracks). I keep the new canyon track however and will take a look after

horace {l Wrote}:{attachment removed}
here is the new version... i have added conveyor belts instead of zippers.
(you also should update the textures in the global texture directory, since i have included the bigger versions.)

the only things still missing are:
  • i would disable fog on the skycube if this is possible somehow.
  • maybe the sun should be made slightly brighter? it seems to be a bit darker than before but i am not sure.

edit:
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
<material name="canyon_conveyor_belt.png" zipper="Y" zipper-duration="2.0" zipper-max-speed-increase="8.0" zipper-fade-out-time="2.0" zipper-speed-gain="4.0"/>

maybe the conveyor belts should be made stronger like that? what is zipper-speed-gain?

edit2: no, that seems to be way too strong. but somehow i can't quite get the right settings... are those speed values multipliers or actual speeds? what are the values to achieve the old zipper behaviour?
