"Is this message could be sticked"

Hello everyone, :D

I'm searching to estimate lower config for STK

It would be great if you send here your computer config ( the lowest, if you have many computers )
and your feelings about test you've done
what are you thinking about differences between 0.6 and 0.7 ( Flexibility fluidity speed performances )

Please doing comparison test (eg: with same tracks with same characters )
Please sending report of the maximum number of character included in same track until computer turn slower
You could tell us about multiplayer game
You could testing with different screen diplay

Thanks for helping

NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
Core2Duo 2GHz
4GB of RAM

I generally have between 50 and 110 FPS

I noticed something odd: The last lap seems to have a lower frame rate. On some tracks the frame rate falls by a half. STK isn't the most light game out there, so the effect is really noticable.
I first thought it was a memory leak, but when I checked and saw the memory size did not increase significant. No matter what amount of laps, it's always the last that constitute a problem.

Version: 0.7 RC2
OS: Windows 7 - 32 bit
Graphics card: NVidia G100
Game resolution: 1680x1050
Mem: 4 Gb (Max usage when running STK: 20%-30%)
CPU: Intel E2220 64 bit (2x 2.4 GHz)

P.S. Yes, It's running a 32 bit OS on a 64 bit architecture... Stupid isn't it? (Can't help it though - don't have the CD  )

how can i turn on the fps display?
and can the poly count be displayed somehow? since it's kind of hard to tell in blender how much polygons the exported result will have.

horace, you can turn on FPS display by pressing (and I have to hold it down for a bit) F12. There you can also see number of triangles in KTris (thousands of triangles). Note that if you use many karts, this will affect the numbers quite a lot - 160 karts at once is not recommended (yes, I've tried). ;)

I got FPS on, but I have trouble interpreting it. What does 9/22/32 mean?
The unstable-top-speed bug wasn't fixed by RC2 though.

9 is lowest FPS, 22 current FPS and 32 highest.
Weird, for me it seems to be fixed - at least the engine sound is stable (into incredible boredom though).

i guess it's min / current / max.
min / current / max would be nice for the ktris too.

edit: oh, posted at the same time. :)

Uneven speed is indeed not fixed (though the problem with the sfx is).

The camera was designed incorrectly, and there is no easy fix for it (as far as I could see) - it needs a complete new camera design :( Since it only affects a certain range of hardware (i.e. where the frame rates drop to below 20 fps), we decided to leave this unchanged for now and don't delay the release because of that.

Cheers,
Joerg

I found a computer witch corresponding to low config for STK 0.7 :

So here it is :
CPU : 1.25 GHz
Ram : 768 Mo
Graphic card : 128 Mo

Animation and special effects inactivated
Race on secret garden with 6 opponent
Maybe insufficient in multi-player game

It's a little too much ? What Hiker think about it ?

128 MB graphics card is low? I can run on 64 MB NVIDIA GeForce 4 Ti 4200 at full 60 fps at 800x600. I have faster CPU and more RAM though.
