STK 0.9.x crashes

Since I've switched from windows 7 to 10 I have not been able to enjoy this marvellous game any more.

Since the switch 0.91 used to make the graphics driver crash, a few seconds after you started a race. STK 0.9.2 is even worse: It crashes 4 seconds into loading.

I have that always problematic ATI Readeon HD 6450. Intel pentium G260 (2.60 GHz).
STK does not produce a logfile. It crashes before anything is written to sysout. Also windows 10 will not show you the error message details any more. So that's absolutely no help.

Is this 64-bit Windows? Apparently 32-bit driver support is sometimes buggy. Maybe you could try the 64-bit version of SuperTuxKart.

Also, a driver update might help, but try one thing at a time and report the results. Having multiple independent variables is contrary to the Scientific Method.

From what I am reading on the net, it would appear that the ATI Readeon HD 6450 is a low-end GPU from quite a few years ago that was not designed for gaming. Unfortunately, it may simply be that this GPU is not powerful enough to run a 3D game, apparently this is a GPU that was never meant to be used for gaming

It doesn't look to powerful, but looks like it supports OGL 4.1 Guess you'll just have to turn off effects and see what works

Have you tried updating drivers?
