How about "Team race" game mode?

6 karts, 3 teams

1 player, team member (locked kart and this is bot)
2 bot, bot
3 bot, bot

For unlock kart you need win the "Team race".
For this need get with team member more points than the other teams.

Yep, something like this would be great, especially once we have networked multiplayer going on. However this will probably have to wait unless we get more programmers.

Yep a cooperating story mode would be great. We discussed about that recently .
