3D object library

3D object library

Hello everyone :)

I'm pleased to announce that Auria have added support for library.
Overview of the library
Image

What does it means ?
It means that now objects can be shared between tracks.
A lantern in mansion light test

The same in mine light test

It also means that it's very easy to use complex objects. In this example the lantern is a group with 4 separated things.
1) A light source
2) A billboard for the halo
3) The metal frame
4) The glass

But in the tracks you have only a lantern. You don't have to worry if the lantern is a group of 100 objects. It's only one thing to move.

Currently it's still WIP.
Things to be done
1) Correct the bug with the physics (currently all lib objects are ghost)
2) Support model variations (for night, snow, etc). For example a lantern should be turned off if it's placed in a track during the day
3) Pack the node in a zip

Will LOD be automatically used of the object has it?
Some people are like slinkies... not really good for anything, but you still can't help smiling when you shove them down the stairs.

Yep :). For instance in the case of the lantern you can specify the distance of all components. For instance if the lantern as a candle inside you can specify that the candle is only visible in a range from 0 to 20m around the player.

However the billboard should be always visible.
