SuperTuxKart crashes always.

I am using
STK 0.8.1 compiled from source
Debian 7 (wheezy)

I have installed supertuxkart from the Debian repository, which has 0.7.3
but I executed the 0.8.1 one

It seems STK has problems downloading files.

The error seems to lie with curl. Try to use a different implementation, e.g. libcurl3-gnutls instead of the openssl one or so.

Seems fixed for now. I removed and purged supertuxkart 0.7.3, installed supertuxkart 0.8 (I just discovered backports). I installed libcurl3-nss. I redownloaded the STK source and recompiled.
I don't know which fixed it, but it seems fixed.
Maybe it's a problem about untrusted certificates?

doubtful, STK doesn't use certificates and that shouln't cause a crash anyway. But glad you got it working

The solution proposed is unacceptable: I have libcurl3-gnutls and the openssl version. If I uninstall it, I will loose "audacious" and "cairo-dock".

actually your problem is different. In your case, it seems like your nvidia driver is crashing. Maybe first check if you are using the latest version of the proprietary driver

I'm using the latest available nVidia driver.
I've changed the game resolution from 1920x1080 to 1600x900 and now it runs ok.
