About translating our wiki (why this is a bad idea)

Hello everybody :)

I started to make a big clean up. I'm removing all old pages (it was mainly documentation about old version). The goal is to make the wiki easier to navigate and to understand for everybody.

Translating pages might be a good idea. However there is a dark side doing that.

1) Translated pages are often (always) outdated.
2) It's difficult to maintain many translation (it takes time, our time is precious, we prefer to make a good english documentation than many bad translation)
3) Translated pages aren't official
4) Too few people read them.
5) It's not sustainable. Imagine you translate everything, very good but after that you stop contributing and your translation will be quickly outdated.

There is only two or three pages that might be translated:
1) The main page
2) Discover stk page
3) Download page

So that's why we're asking to don't translate our documentation. If you want to make a tutorial about stk for your blog in your mother tongue well you 're welcome but always use the English documentation. It's the only one that is updated and our reference :).

Supportive argument: The freegamedev wiki isn't even up to date in it's english version. Not that I'm judging.
