If you were on IRC, you might have read it already, that there are unofficial STK Ports for Mobile Devices.

They are called

"Super Kart 3D" - Available on iOS and Android - price: free (with in app purchases)
"SuperTuxKart" - currently only Android - price: 0,72€, AU$: 1.02; 0.99CHF; 0.99US$

Both are from the developer "Playstarz Inc.".

If you have already bought "SuperTuxKart", send us a copy, to investigate, if there are GPL violations!

Please do not buy/install these games! We are investigating for copyright infringements.

In my opinion if you look at Super Kart 3D, the dev's are trolling by keeping the name of sara

What we can do is to dislike youtube video of these dev and signal this is a copy

We have to make Supertuxkart be known by as much people as possible
Stk will always be a length ahead of those other games

I'm downloading .apk file from some site in China. I'll look at data file to see if it uses any code/data from SuperTuxKart.

[EDIT] I found "SuperTuxKart" string in "Super Kart 3D" binary file!!!1!!1!! (libSuperKart.so)

* The data files is packed in res.pak, compression method not analyzed (possibly uncompressed) but checked file list there are some files obviously copied from SuperTuxKart (e.g. data/fonts/AR_PL_SungtiL_GB0.png data/fonts/StkFont.xml data/models/bubblegum-nolok.b3d data/po/supertuxkart.pot)

* I feel that this is done by some Chinese people because I found that some added images has Chinese edition (e.g. data/gui/setting_control_touch_cn.png) and there is only a Simplified Chinese translation file (data/po/zh_CN.po)

Totoplus62 submitted already an license violation notification to the stores, because data/models/swatter-icon.png is violating CC-BY-SA (I think).

Then i'm sure there are others unmodified game assets that were stolen.
What about the panda we can see several time in their trailer ? Is it protected ? Or the traffic_light_yellow.jpg texture at the beginning of the race ?

@totoplus62: I looked at some of the files, but I think, the JPGs are compressed. So I can't look at the hashes. If you are on Linux and you have the data files from Super Kart you can look at the hashes.

Open Terminal, enter "md5 " and the filename. If it's the same result for the original STK files and the ones from super Kart, it's stolen.

Yes, google reacted very quick (4 days). Apple didn't send a confirmation or any updates. So I prepared another longer document to explicitly list most of the violations, but when I tried to submit it, the ios application was not found anymore - it must have been taken down in between.

So, we won
