Can't seem to use 4 x gamepads in multiplayer mode?

Hi Folks,

I'm running Supertuxkart 0.8 and all is working okay except that I can't figure out how to nominate a gamepad instead of the default keyboard input in the multiplayer "Choose a Kart" screen.
I have plugged in 4 x Logitech USB gamepads, all of which show up as devices in the Supertuxkart Controls menu, however I can't deselect keyboard as the default control for the default player. This leaves me only able to use 3 controllers and forced to use a keyboard for the 4th player.

Attached is a screenshot showing the problem - you can see that the user called "public" can only use the keyboard, despite there being a gamepad device available.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Hi,

this is a known confusion-source :( the solution is to simply leave the keyboard-mouse alone, and start multiplayer using your gamepad

A bit OT, but- I have an idroid gamepad and a dual shock 3 that I use with STK. If I got another idroid, would STK be able to use them both as separate controllers?

Yes, normally STK can distinguish physically-separate gamepads even if they are of the same brand and model
