Choosing controls in multiplayer on 0.8

Hi STK Team, :)

I have a little request to put here. (Hope you won't find it too silly ;) )

When entering the multiplayer part, if someone select multiplayer with the keyboard, the first player is auto-selected with the keyboard.

It took time to me to figure out I had to trigger the multiplayer menu using a gamepad to use the game pad for the first player.
As it isn't actually very self-explanatory, could make it so the player have to trigger the first player controller type after entering the multiplayer menu?
(And why not display the box you display on the second player's location centered)
To me, it would make much more sense, what do you think about it?

A second little thing is this one, after choosing a kart/character, on can't unselect it without quitting the multiplayer menu and redo it all over again, would it be possible to fix that as well?
(It would also make it possible to cancel the participation of a player, btw.)

(Using SuperTuxKart 0.8 from Debian here, just in case.)

I also wanted to say that I'm an absolute fan of Auria's and Hiker's work! :D

Cheers,

Hi,

this makes sense, I created a ticket : https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/super ... ticket/910

Regarding cancelling after you confirmed, this might be done but is low priority. To confirm, after all, someone must press at least two keys, so it's hard to accidentally join

Hi Auria, :)

this makes sense,

Thanks for your consideration!

Regarding cancelling after you confirmed, this might be done but is low priority. To confirm, after all, someone must press at least two keys, so it's hard to accidentally join

Not for the first player as it already confirmed his/her input point, yet it will be less of an issue once the above ticket is done.
(Believe me, for kids like the ones who played when we all tried the game, pushing two buttons by accident is nothing  )

Anyway, I kinda know what it takes to code on one's spare time and each and every requests I could make are all but high priority. Especially when there are workarounds. :)

Best regards,

Bertram
