SuperTuxKart on Raspberry Pi

SuperTuxKart on Raspberry Pi

Hey,

it's nice to see STK has been ported to Raspbian for Raspberry Pi (https://twitter.com/xeno74/status/272300730453458946). It has already been added to the official Software Repostory, but the Game does not start. I only get this Logoutput:

I think someone tried to port SuperTuxKart using OpenGL while the RPi only supports OpenGL ES (http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=8062&p=113162).

Maybe someone should fix this, or at least try to delete this version from the Repositories.

Tested on Raspberry Pi, Model B (512 MB), current Raspbian Wheezy.

This is not an official port, and if it doesn't work it should be removed. But we can't do anything about it.
Hey pal, I took an oath for justice! "In happy days or tightest tights..." or something like that.

Hi,

I'm afraid the RaspberryPI port is unofficial. None of the core developers has expertise on this platform. Note that the PI might just be not powerful enough to run STK

At least for OpenPandora there were problems to port the Irrlicht engine which is an essential part of STK :(
