I found something interesting in Green Valley. Firstly your speed doesn't reduce when you go out of the road,you can drive in lakes you can do anything but that's not the point. If you fall in the river under the finish line, if you have completed the lap and you just went out of the road in that point under the bridge, your kart flies for a second and then you return on the road and the lap ends.But if you haven't completed the lap your kart just flies and do nothing . Your kart move on the map while you see it flying. If you press backspace your kart returns not necessarily to the point you were, before you go out of the road. Try it yourself!

Oh,i was wrong about the speed it does reduce.
