TuxKart for Windows

TuxKart for Windows

Postby stked » 08 May 2010, 17:08

hi all,
Lately I've really been interested in STk's past, and I was wondering in any Windows packages of TuxKart exist, because cygwin just isn't an option on limited bandwidth. If you could point me to one, I'd be grateful.

I'm trying to compile in MS Visual Studio 2005 and this is what I get:

Can anyone help me? I thought TuxKart only needed PLIB to run, and that's integrated by me.

Just wanted to bring up that someone is SELLING this free game on eBay. If you search for listing # 170483239332 , it'll show up. Just a head's up. Go get this guy!

Hello.

I'm not a lawyer, but my understanding is as long as he follows the GNU GPL, he's free sell it and make money from it. He'd have
to provide the source code, and leave all copyright notices intact. There might be a few other issues to work out, but in a nutshell one can sell GPL
licensed software as long as they follow the terms of that license. Once again, this is my understanding of the GPL and I could be wrong.

If he's misrepresenting the game or its development, that might be a different matter.

Just to be thorough, I'm not a proper STK developer myself- I'm a contributor and have done some testing. I have not looked at
the auction page, but a similar issue has come up before.

I'm a cheapskate and that's the newest I have. I really don't care about TuxKart now that I've tried it. Like Arthur said somewhere else, very primitive.
