Loading... Loading... Loading... And Still Loading!

Here is an idea as reported by The Twins on the STK Blog:

Is it possible to add a loading bar in the loading screens? It would be nice.

In other words this means something like "20 days, 2 hours and 53 minutes to go" in the loading screens.

What about it? What do YOU think?

Loading time calculations are seldom very accurate and in STK the times are generally very low, so you'd probably see the loading screen for just 2-10 seconds anyway. I'd rather try to display something interesting, like "tip of the day" or keyboard control scheme or something like that. Admittedly you wouldn't get much time to read, but after a few tracks you might be able to cobble together what it says.
Hey pal, I took an oath for justice! "In happy days or tightest tights..." or something like that.

Actually due to the game engine we cannot make an animated screen when irrlicht loads a scene. Sorry but it's not possible

What about an "Estimated Time Of Loading: 12 Hours"?

I like the tip of the day thing. It would be good.

Often our screens load at a rate of 10 seconds to 2 minutes average.

I would like to see a change to the start-up wait screen (where it displays all the kart icons). Maybe have Tux's kart drive back and forth across the screen?

Can you have .GIFs run? You could even make a bar going back and forth or the arms on the clock moving. At least it would feel like it's doing something (track load).

Sorry : no. The restriction is on having anything animated at all, no matter what format

Just an idea. When loading a track it could display the icon of the track and a summary of the track such as:

A nice bracing sea breeze makes the race a breeze.

or:

Birdsong and water make this track a holiday.
