Plus, we need version number and OS info. If you're not using the latest release, there might be an already fixed bug triggering this.

Ooops, sorry about the long post. I didnt think it was that long.
Im using Sabayon 9, Kernel 3.4.0 and STK v 7.3 rc1. I kept with this rather than the repo version, so as to keep the add-ons. Also crashes in 7.3 though..with slightly different messages:

gdb is a debugger, which can give us information on why it crashed

Yeah, it does look like you're missing textures. Try reinstalling the game yet?

Missing textures should never crash the game. There must be something else causing this.

Hey, that happen me too but in my case supertux canyon track, crashed when i click button to back to main menu and happen again but furthermore it help me quit from supertuxkart quickly.

that happens to me a lot with tracks that aren't from the original game.
