Hi

I try to complie STK the hole day and i have always this "erorr" for the bullet_lib:

WIN32
: fatal error C1083: Datei (Quelle) kann nicht geöffnet werden: "WIN32": No such file or directory // can't open WIN32 ???
1>Code wird generiert...
Projekt : warning PRJ0018 : Folgende Umgebungsvariablen konnten nicht gefunden werden:
$(STK_INCLUDE)

(sry it is in German)

Can anyone help me??? I don´t know how can i help the STK Team if i can not compress the supertuxkart.exe

Which version of STK are you trying to compile? It sounds like a somewhat older version (since current SVN version shouldn't use STK_INCLUDE anymore). I'd suggest to get the current SVN version (which is basically necessary if you want to contribute anyway) and to follow the instructions in the README (i.e. use the dependency package we provide). No setting of environment variables should be necessary anymore).

it met this error ,and:
keep the "supertuxkart.ncb",clear all the others, and compile again. it works

Besides I saw the video of supertuxkart.de yesterday and i was very shocked. So I updated my STK with the newest revision and i get the same errors with the older revision.

Please help me. Can anyone write an Initiation or make a video "How to compile STK in Window"
In my life i compile so many programms, but i don't know....

I see nothing wrong in what you posted. It's mostly warnings about tracks not converted yet. Can you describe what happens?

Ok if I want to make the first challenge, I get an error that one track was not found and then the program crashes. Besides I find that the previous problem should be solved, because you have to complie STK 2 times.

Hiker, the project leader, develops on Windows, so STK is always working on Windows (or almost).
The challenges issue is a known issue.

In my experience i complie so many hard programms and it works always. So please don't think that i am clueless about compling etc.

As Auria has written: Challenges do not work, and are not expected to work at this stage. It certainly does not work on Mac (what makes you say it does work on Mac??), nor Windows. I can't comment on the videos on supertuxkart.de - it depends on the version they were using, or they might have adjusted the challenges, or a preview of the menu only.

Today, i update STK and by the Compiling of STK the programm give me this error:
..\..\race\history.cpp(161) : fatal error C1022: #endif erwartet

I think this error is not from me, because it has worked 3 days ago and i know that anyone change the history.cpp. Please repair it.

I met this problem, too, and it occurs randomly ... At first I compile bullet_lib 3 times and it always "can't open WIN32 " :| I closed VS2005 and reopen it then it can compile bullet_lib :|

BTW: I spend the whole afternoon to compile latest SVN in Ubuntu :| because there are a lot of devel packages missing ... And compile it in Windows is quite easy ...

You shouldn't have to build bullet lib, there is a dependency from supertuxkart to bullet lib which should trigger this to be built automatically. But I have actually seen this once or twice with enet which wouldn't build, but just recompiling supertuxkart always triggered the proper build.

Well, it shouldn't be too difficult on linux either, but admittedly it might take some time to get the dependencies right. It was actually more complicated to get the windows dependencies right (gettext is a pain), that's why we put the dependency package online.
