I consider to buy a HTPC. Favourite is the Asrock ION3D 152 D. As usual with HTPCs it is not the most powerful hardware: ATOM 525 CPU, 2 GB RAM, NVIDIA GT218-ION Graphics. Would that be enough to run STK? Note: The hardware is sufficient to play BLU RAY after all.

I expect it will be sufficient to run some of the tracks, but not all of them; Tux Tollway, for instance, is more demanding and will probably be too slow

Just an idea: Could information about performance needed for tracks displayed in the menu?
I played on some PC on which some tracks were fine and some tracks were lagging, having some kind of indication in the track menu about which is more demanding than the other would have been useful information!

I would rather spend time on making all tracks playable on lower-end computers, those that lag generally use too may polygons
