Two similar joysticks seen as only one

Hi,

I have two simple joysticks (Thrustmaster Dual analog 3) but STK sees only one and handles command from both together. Is it a limitation? A bug?

Cheers,
Marc.

Hi,

actually STK allows gamepads to be configured by brand; so both will have the same configuration, BUT you can still play with both of them, they will just use the same button layout

For 0.8 I have applied a change to display "x2" or so when many identical ones are plugged, to make it clearer

I had an other problem, when playing under Windows, all joystick are shown as "Microsoft Windows Joystick" or something like that, with a different number at the end to differenciate them.
But it's hard to know which joystick we are configuring in the config screen. How do we know which joystick is number 1, which is number 2, etc… ?
It would be great if when editing a joystick config, when configuring a key, only the concerned joystick will be able to set the key!

There's little we can do about the name because microsoft provides us this bad name. However if you have STK 0.7.3, you can press any key on a gamepad and it will be highlighted in the list

Also, in 0.8 I have applied a fix like your suggestion, only the right gamepad will be able to enter bindings in the options menu

Ok. Thanks for the explanation.
I confirm that it is working fine. No idea why I first found that it wasn't working.

Cheers,
Marc.
