Hi Auria,

I was going to suggest another subforum for discussion of ideas-only.

People may be more inclined to use that than a single thread. There's not just tract ideas - also character ideas, weapon ideas etc.

Subsection is welcome, I ever told Auria about it.

A section could regroup help, bugs and questions
Another contributions which can be divided (ex graphics, sounds&music, code, other ) or ( tracks, karts music, other )
An Ideas and suggestions one
A non-english topics
One for news (ex:revisions compiled by Xeno)
A section can be used as trash where admin can drop troll topics

Well, STK General should generally be used for ideas in my opinion. The issue is that track ideas tends to only span over one post (if they don't know how to do it themselves), while character ideas and weapon ideas tends to spawn more discussion. So we got some one-post track idea threads often put in STK Contributions, where people including me quickly shot down the idea by saying it's not gonna happen unless you do it yourself. A separate thread means people can put their ideas there without cluttering the forums too much with one-post threads, and a separate thread also gives the feeling of "your idea has been noted, thanks" to the person with the idea.

Just my view on it.

Plus it keeps the track ideas in one place. But now it's getting cluttered by this discussion.

The original thread should remain uncluttered so I split this discussion

as for me I agree with Arthur. Most ideas don't get much discussion so in this case no use for a topic per idea IMHO

If a track idea is really interesting, and a serious discussion is emerging, it can still be split into a separate thread, right?
