I used to play SuperTuxKart back in 2017-2018, am coming back to the game after a long time. Apparently you now have the ability to "skid" and create sparks. How do you do this? I couldn't find any tutorials online.

I know you can use the V button to drift, but AI karts can seemingly skid, creating sparks, while travelling in a straight line. How do you do this?

Simply turn the wheels in the opposite direction to the skid. So if you start skidding while turning left, turn the wheels to full right during the skid and keep them there. And vice versa.

You can't skid in a completely straight line (neither can the AI karts) but you can make the arc of the turn a lot wider.
