Issues with end cameras?

In my latest version of the minigolf track I removed the end cameras for now. It feels like I almost got them to work well. At least without any ai karts most areas worked well in the end.
I tested it with ai karts and it was so much worse again, it feels like the wrong cameras were active in some places with walls, trees and other obstacles in the view.

Are there some known issues and what is your experience with end cameras?
Maybe you have some tips and tricks to make them work, even something like placing end cameras in some areas, if that works. At leas when I removed cameras in a specific region, they kept active for a long distance. I kept the distance for all cameras at 30-40, maybe this is already too far for such a track, or is such a track generally not suited for using end cameras?
