Hi,

I set up a server on Ubuntu for my kids to connect to and race using their tablets. i wanted it to be available remote, but locked down so I put a password on the connection. Is there a way to store the server password in their android tablet connection so they can connect to it without typing in the password?

You should use a lan server and type IP in dialog (with save function) instead.....

The private servers are not intended to be hosted 24x7 and will be cleared regularly

It can't be cleared. I am not connected to the online account, but am just port forwarding to my lan and securing it with a password.

if you do not connect it with an online account I don't think anyone can connect to it without knowing the ip and port?

i don't think you need to secure it with a password this way
