Trouble Compiling From Source [Linux Mint]

I downloaded STK editor https://github.com/supertuxkart/stk-editor installed all my dependencies and followed all the instructions. I can't find any file to launch it, in the directory /stk-editor-master/build/bin there is a file "supertuxkart-editor" clicking it ask me to select a program, and launching it in the terminal does nothing, am I missing anything or is there something in the instructions that is missing / not up to date?? I am trying to use this on my everyday computer (The weak one, not the gamer computer?)
