I have been using Linux since '98, and have been playing STK since it came out - keyboard only, no controller.

I have replaced some of the default sounds, just for my own enjoyment.
I just play Single Player Intermediate, both time-trial and standard race with default number of laps and ai karts. I try to beat my best times on all the maps, and X-Kart 1 is one of my favorites.

I just today decided to record it, and after recording a couple of practices, I beat my record! 1:27.923. I put a video of it up on peertube. I hope that is OK to do.

I'd love to know if my time is any good compared to other people who play STK.

Haha I tried to get a speedrun placing, but my lag keeps throwing me into a wall after two laps

Thanks for the link, great reference. I checked out some of the runs on speedrun.com. Pretty neat.
Guess I'm definitely just a player, not a speedrunner.

And I never even really tried other difficulty levels, I just started at intermediate and didn't think much about it and kept trying to beat MY fastest time.
In fact, SuperTux mode is locked and I don't want to play story mode to unlock it... but I bet there's a way to unlock it, will have to look that up.

*sigh* Now I guess I am going to have to play my favorite tracks in Expert and SuperTux mode to see how well I can do.
