Hello! Are there any plans to release an STK merchandise? Like a T-shirts etc. If no, maybe someone has a high-resolution images of the game characters and karts? For example Tux in a kart. So i can order a print by myself. I think it can be a good idea. Also you can sell merchandise with an extra cost to receive a donation.

Still, I think there is a difference between developers and the game itself, popularizing STK in any suitable way would be good.

To question: I guess the best resolution things should be in STK Media Repo? Though I found only 6 vector icons of karts there, so probably some of other images could be too small..

I think it would be an interesting idea to raise money for commissioned tracks or bug/feature bounties.

Am I right that it would be perfectly okay if anybody took any graphics from STK, put them on a T-shirt, and sold those or gave them away? If so, then anybody who feels like it can promote or raise money for STK independently.

If you mean from the source repo, I would check the graphic's own licence first but I suspect they all have to be compatible with commercial use to be included in the core game. That said, they might have legal conditions like attribution required.

Profit, sure. Actively trying to make money, like merchandise, could be harmful, but using money that people want to give for free (donations) to help the project isn't evil, in my opinion.
I see no issue with donations as long as it's just for covering server costs and excess money is spent on one-off commissioning new tracks, assets, and other contributions. No profit, no motivation to do things to the project to make money, no personal gain.

I have a LaunchCart site. If someone has a t-shirt design they want, I can put it up if you want. I would probably do the same I've done with the FreeGameDev shirt. Basically I priced it low so that I make very little. So the profit wouldn't go to the project but the profits would also be very minimal.
