Hey,
I have a problem with my dedicated server.
Every command is working, except /spectate 1 or 0
It always says "unknown command" but all the other commands are working fine.

Does someone know how to fix it?

I switched the server to public but still not working.
Server version is 1.2, is this the latest version?

you can see if strings bin/supertuxkart | grep spectate shows "Usage: spectate [0 or 1], before game started"

Okay, maybe I have to make my problem more precise.

I know that I can spectate races with /spectate on public servers.
But I'm organising a STK tournament and I would like to use a private server instead of an public one.

The server is up and running and is working. The /spectate command is the only "problem" that is left.
It would be nice to join with the players and see the start, instead of joining the race after it started.

All I wanted to know is, if there is a way to fix this problem.

Only reason for not working spectate command is that your stk server binary is compromised

like I said you can strings bin/supertuxkart | grep spectate and see if result contains "Usage: spectate [0 or 1], before game started"

I don't know what to fix your problem, unless you give me access to your server so I can fix myself
