Hi all,

we have finally done it and released SuperTuxKart 0.7.2:

New features:

• Added in-game addon manager
• Fixed major memory leaks
• New Snow Peak track by Samuncle
• Improved star track UFO by Rudy
• New Beastie kart.
• Show when you get a highscore
• Improve gamepad configuration under Windows (add ability to tell gamepads apart)
• Various other tweaks done and glitches fixed

The files can be downloaded from our download page.

did you change something on physics ?

I used to play it on my laptop, and I just tried on my PC. I tried "canyon coyote" 8 times trying to be 1st or 2nd on medium difficulty mode.
And I wasn't able to... controls was too sensible at full speed, collisions are awful .

STK's driving need stability and flexibility I think especially after zippers

Hi! I am somewhat new to Linux (I have Ubuntu 11.04), and I couldn't install SuperTux Kart 0.7.2. (I currently have 0.7.1). I tried installing it by http://supertuxkart.sourceforge.net/Installation, but my terminal didn't recognize these commands:
./configure && make
sudo make install

How can I upgrade my SuperTux Kart?

Hi there.

I played on the new Snow Peak track and I noticed, that I get immediately reseted after hitting the blue walls (those after the peak, you can see one in the screenshot in the first post). Don't like that. :-(

And I saw one AI Kart driving on the lava in Fort Magma (towards the end of the tunnel), but I need some more testing to find out, where you can drive on the lava.

Sometimes, a big shock makes the kart automatically be reset, no matter the wall it collides. Were you going fast ?

I just downloaded the x86_64 one. The file permissions in the tar.bz2 don't seem quite right -- the files are all owned by the user account 'christian', which was translated to my user account on installation, instead of root, and some files, especially the whole data/ folder, have loose permissions -- security-wise, not great.

As far as I know, the AI hasn't been deliberately improved for a while. But various tweaks may have had an impact, e.g. item distribution has been tweaked somewhat.

Cannot reproduce it, so maybe I shouldn't. ;-)
Earlier today downloads would stick at 0% for longer than my attention span. When I tried it later, a download might take ten seconds to start, but would certainly start and finish. Perhaps the network was congested earlier....

So, everything's fine.

42 means 'aborted by callback', which is what happens when you quit STK while a download is happening. So that's kind of normal, and as you have written: the rest was probably just an issue with the network (or our server?)
