Fort Magma

Hey,

I find the new version of Fort Magma in STK 0.7.1b interesting, but too easy. I don't object to keeping it, but is it possible to put the old Fort Magma back into the new version of the game? As an end-user I'd like to at least be able to have it as an add-on, and if I can make a suggestion I think it would be cool to have it enabled once all challenges are complete as a "legacy track bonus", at very least when STK hits the version 1.0 milestone. Would this be possible? Thanks!

Hi !
I agree with titaniumtux, especially regarding the lava tunnel (that really was the funniest part !) that was replaced by a bridge. :(

Hi,

the older track can sure be kept as add-on, STK 0.7.2 will include a feature to install add-ons.

But I also agree about the tunnel being too easy; I hope samuncle will find the time to make the tunnel more challenging in the new fort magma

I would actually say that it was way too difficult to drive (perhaps the physics update might make this better?)

Anyway, with the upcoming 0.7.2 release we have a buildin addons manager, so as long as someone uploads the old version everybody will be able to download this version quite easily.

Cheers,
Joerg

I have completely redone the lava tunnel. It's more funny and it's like the old one ;)

I just have a problem with the new exporter and material

It's in SVN :)

It looks great! I just have one minor issue: there are some kind of ramps in the tunnel. If you are not driving straight in the center of the road, getting onto the platforms is quite bumpy.

Joerg

Where are the lavamonsters? Every lava track needs lavamonsters... ;)

I agree. :) A floating head-type thing could probably work, as in XR591, if possible.
BTW, I can't seem to be able to download the SVN version...

Can you be more specific? error message, etc.? (I guess this would be for another thread)

I have just tried the new version, it's a very good work !
You kept the good things of previous versions :)

Just a (very little) detail : I think the arrival line should be more visible.

Very fun anyway (the new lava tunnel is really cool !)

EDIT : I did not found a "new snow peak" subject so I post here what I think about the track. Same as Fort Magma :) looks much more professional and very great atmosphere, just the arrival line should be more visible.
