Soccer Tournament

Hello everyone.

In August (beginning at the end of July), there will be another Soccer Tournament and we, organizers, decided to advertize it here in the forum as well this time.

In order to participate, you will need an online account. You can register here: https://stk.kimden.online/tournament/.
Note that you will need a token to confirm that you register your own account. More information about this is also on the registration form.

The Soccer Tournament will have several randomly generated teams, each consisting of 4 players. Every match will be played in 3 games on 3 different arenas. The complete rules you will find here: https://www.luffah.xyz/wiki/supertuxkar ... 0_08_rules.

Registration will close at around July 25th.

Argh, darn it! I already missed the first registration period for this year, and now I realized I just missed registration for the December Tournament as well. Oh well, at least I registered as substitute player.

I didn't even know this tournament existed before I randomly downloaded an addon.

But I really like this idea of the tournament, good job in setting this up!

Today was the first match of the June 2021 Tournament. This is going to be a great tournament!

I noticed something strange. Apparently the match A vs E is rated 3:1 in the crosstab. But how is that possible if only 3 games are played?

It's 3:1 because there was a draw which is counted as 1:1.
So technically even 3:2 (with 2 draws) and 3:3 (with 3 draws) are possible

I think this is unfair. Lets say that team A and B played well this tournament and they both have a score of 12:3 according to points and the number of matches they won. But if team A has a match that is drawn, then their score becomes 13:3 which is unfair to team B.

In my opinion, both teams get 1/2 points for a draw so that is fair to everyone whereas in your way of ranking, a draw will be counted as win.

We can surely make a poll about this before the next tournament starts, I see the point

2. It is not unfair as we compare only the differences of won and lost games, draws do not affect that
