Story mode - What do you do after defeating Nolok?

So I just finished all the challenges in SuperTuxKart and unlocked the big door. I raced Nolok and won. However, I still have the pit of lava in front of me (which I can't cross). What am I supposed to do? Is this the end of the game?

Yes, that is the end. :-)

The only things left to do would be to do the challenges at SuperTux difficulty (if you haven't already done so) and unlock the achievements, but yeah, you beat the game. ;)

in addition to what puzlanchik say you can start making your own character, modding, contributing
both in technical ways or in non-technical ways by giving suggestion for newer release, give ideas
to story and sharing the game, or just study the source code if you are programmer if you wish.

Thanks! Yeah, I have some programming experience (although I suck at graphics). I'll try contributing and making mods.
I've tried to play online, but it always takes me back to the main screen - can someone explain why and how to fix this problem?

Are you using 0.9.3 or earlier by any chance (online play is only in 1.0)? And do you have an online account?

I have an online account (codic@stk) that I registered.
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
[info   ] main: ==============================
[info   ] main: SuperTuxKart, 1.0.
[info   ] main: ==============================

(My version from the command line, installed via pacman on Manjaro Linux).
I get the menu for multiplayer, but it takes me to the Lobby and then back to the main screen. Should I open a new post for this?

Just guessing: how's your internet connection? Maybe it's too slow (ping > 300 ms) and you get kicked out of the lobby because of that.

I just removed SuperTuxKart and installed from source (specifically, https://github.com/STK-helper/stk-code/ ... nd-padding for the new Modern Skin) but no luck.
I ran into a similar issue with Minetest in the past: https://github.com/pandorabox-io/pandor ... issues/217

How would I check my speed on Linux?

https://fast.com/ settles on 61 mbps

On closer inspection, when failing to join a server, a little message on the bottom vaguely informs me that I cannot join this server.

gsbhasin123 {l Wrote}:https://fast.com/ settles on 61 mbps

It depends on the speed to specific STK servers. My country doesn't have any so the closest online STK server (unless someone else chooses to host one) is far away. My internet speed is not great either so I usually have around 250-400ms ping to the STK server which is enough for some of the more distant servers to kick me.
https://fast.com is probably going to give a much faster result than STK servers because speed testing sites often have many servers to choose from and they choose the closest to you.
Maybe try sorting the STK servers by distance and choose the closest one to see if it still kicks you. Unfortunately, the closest do not always have people in them.

Closest server is in Silicon Valley (I'm in Foster City) but fails.

I've just tried and the Silicon Valley server is kicking me out too. It's probably their problem. Try some other servers, like the Chicago STK servers or even Strasbourg.

Nope.
I can't even connect to my own server if I try to host one!
Do you get kicked if no one else is online?

Do you create / have a network with only ipv6?

To do that you need NAT64 atm, we have no native ipv6 servers

I'm not sure, but ip a outputs:
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000
    link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
    inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
    inet6 ::1/128 scope host
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
2: enp0s25: <NO-CARRIER,BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc fq_codel state DOWN group default qlen 1000
    link/ether 3c:97:0e:90:c2:23 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
3: wlp3s0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state UP group default qlen 1000

    inet6 fe80::6e69:d4ac:3789:636f/64 scope link noprefixroute
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever

With this network config, how would I join a server?

can you ping ipv4 address (like 8.8.8.8) in your linux?

That sounds like a bug or something really weird happening.

No, because that way, nobody could ever get online :D

ping 8.8.8.8:
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
PING 8.8.8.8 (8.8.8.8) 56(84) bytes of data.

and then I keep getting a blinking cursor. I am able to access all websites however. Maybe check out the issue I mentioned on Github - I ran into a very similar problem in Minetest. See above

EDIT: when doing ctrl c, I get:
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
--- 8.8.8.8 ping statistics ---
173 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 456ms

Yeah, I think benau was right. It looks like your computer currently cannot communicate over IPv4, only the newer IPv6.
I believe that benau was suggesting you use a NAT64 program. To quote another website: "Very simply said: NAT64 is a mechanism that makes it possible to communicate with IPv4-only servers from an IPv6-only network."
After doing that, ping 8.8.8.8 would give you responses (that is the address of Google DNS servers, btw)

I've never used NAT64 so I can't recommend the best one. Maybe benau can? Also great troubleshooting there, benau!

Indeed NAT64 seems like the way to go. Only problem is, everything NAT64 related on the Net seems to be about servers. Any home use suggestions?
Also I have run into this issue with other hardware with other operating systems on the same network, so I can confirm this is a network issue.
