Resolution switch make opengl context desapears

I have a problem running Super Tux Kart 0.7 on Ubuntu 10.10.
I have a NVidia 9400GT video card and amd64 Linux version.

When I try to change resolution, for example I set up 1600x1200 or I try to go in full screen mode, then I loose openGL conext.
It seems that the STK window take the picture of the program just behind and then I am not able to see any new frame in the STK window.

I use NVidia driver, the one preselected on Ubuntu.

Do you think I have a problem with my driver or maybe it's a STK problem ?

Which log can I give you in order to resolve my problem ?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

are you by any chance using irrlicht 1.7.1 ? If so, simply update to 1.7.2

I checked and I have the lastest version of ubuntu packages, that is to say 1.7.2 .
I don't have any problem with other games.

I can change resolution in the config.xml, and it works. But switching between resolutions in the game does not work.

Hmmm then this is the first time I hear about this issue :( I would tend to believe it's a driver issue since it apparently only happens for you
