A graphic bug on supertuxkart

Postby wax » 23 Jun 2019, 16:35

I had a graphic problem several times on ravenbridge mansion in story mode. As this problem is quite complicated to describe, I recorded:

My configuration here :

Non-free repositories are activated....
Thank you in advance for the answers :-).

There are various bugs report on STK flickering in linux with intel drivers, see if it can be fixed later...

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=110463

or you can edit in your data/graphical_restrictions.xml
change
<card contains="Intel" os="linux" version="<11.2" disable="ComputeShader"/>
to
<card contains="Intel" os="linux" disable="ComputeShader"/>

and see if it helps

Thank you for the answer, I'll try it in a few minutes. Otherwise I would change Linux distribution because Manjaro gnome is the only one who has this problem....

I'll see if it will change anything when compiling, I was using the official repository version (1.0.4).

Can you post the output of
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
glxinfo | grep core
? If you are using Mesa 19.1 you can also try launching STK with
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
MESA_LOADER_DRIVER_OVERRIDE=iris supertuxkart
and see if it is different.
Not an official dev, but a huge fan of STK!

Thank you for the answer whether you are a developer or not :D. I changed my operating system and this time everything is functional but I will still look at this solution with manjaro, it can be useful to others... :-)

Excuse me for waiting, I hadn't thought about this problem anymore. I tried again with manjaro gnome and KDE and apart from the track designer who closes at the opening, supertuxkart works. Apparently, the debian and Ubuntu databases have fewer problems if they are up to date (otherwise there may be problems with outdated dependencies if you compile). I'm currently on KDE neon where it's functional, but I think it's still the 0.9.3 in the official repositories.
