Hey,

recently I set up a STK linux server and tried setting the "ranked" config option to true. As I expected it to happen, it didn't work. I simply wasn't allowed to host ranked matches.

So my question: Is it somehow possible to be allowed to host exactly that type of servers? Or are only VIPs allowed to do so?

Ranked servers can submit ranking changes to the main server.

Hence, a malicious ranked server could submit incorrect data. Which also means that the permission to host one can't be handed out without care.

Right now, STK has two ranked servers in Europe, two in the USA and one in China. Considering the current usage level of the online mode, this is sufficient. We might consider adding more in the future for better geographic coverage and peak capacity (but as said, for now it is sufficient). If you want to provide a service to the STK community by hosting a server, it doesn't have to be ranked to be enjoyed.

Also please don't create servers with more then max 10 players, more then 10 has not been fully tested and is unstable
