I got the objective of the game, but, is there a way to lose a match? Or is this a winning-only gamemode, with no chance to lose the match?

You can't lose, indeed. It's like 'where is waldo', you can't lose, it can just take you some time ;)

It's mostly meant for kids to explore the maps - thought we might add a challenge with a time limit in later.

Oh. never thought about it that way.

Another option might be adding a lap limit instead of a time limit. That way, there wouldn't be worries about time constraints and they would have a lot of time to search for the eggs while also having a losing condition (reaching the end line without collecting all the eggs).

A training-like mode, "free roam", might also be the solution for lapping all you want without disturbances (0 rivals) nor time/lap constraints.
