oh I loved that snowy music! I also loved the song by Brad Sucks in STK 0.6, partly because Brad Sucks is from my home town. Any chance of having a music addon system?

I do have plans to separate add-on music from the track models, mainly to reduce download times. This could easily be extended to allow submitting music tracks to the website. On the game side of things, track music could probably be customized through some sort of UI. For now though, you can just edit/replace the supertuxkart data files to use the music that you'd like if you have the audio files. (If not, look through the SVN revision history or in old copies of the game)

I also loved the brad sucks song, I used to play the supertuxkart track that played it just to hear it.

Having support for music-addons was always one of my goals, and STK is more or less ready for this:

STK already supports a SUPERTUXKART_MUSIC_PATH environment variable, where you can specify where to load music from. So it would be rather trivial to add support for additional music in the addons directory (finding space in STK's GUI is another question ;) ).

The music files can also specify which tracks to use this music for (it will be added to the existing music and one will be picked randomly) - atm we are only using the reverse, specifying the music in the track.xml files. So the addon-music can specify which tracks this music should be used.

OK, to be perfect we would need a gui to enable/disable certain music for certain tracks, but imho that's not really urgent (in the worst case people would have to modify simple text files).

Cheers,

I also like Out of it and am changing some of the tracks on my computer to have it
