Hello!
First of all - did you check that you don't already have those files installed? Esp. msvcr90d.dll should already be there (which is the puzzling thing), it's part of VS, search for it using the windows search tool somewhere (it should be under Program Files/Microsoft*VS*.

I am going to Re-install everything fresh, and try it again from the top and see if that fixes it. May take me a day or so.... :|

BTW how long until vs 8 is released?

Quite some time (more like months than weeks I'd guess).

We are all anxious for the upcoming updates, thank you for working so hard!

Joerg, maybe it would be a good idea to integrate this BreakPad app after all; in all of those crash cases we would automagically get a backtrace without needing everyone to be walked thru building from source

I could try again - last time I couldn't get it to work on linux, and gave up.

I got breakpad to work under linux, but Windows is still resisting - work in progress.

Nice!! Told you ;)
A lighter alternative would be to use StackWalk64, but we would get less info.

hiker >> after speaking with a colleague of mine who tried to use Breakpad for our game editor (on Windows), he abandonned because:
- it was very long to compile
- it was hard to configure
- in the end you need to implement several things (UI apparently)
- there was a non-trivial process to use the .pdb files information
Instead he opted for Crashrpt ( http://code.google.com/p/crashrpt/ ), which is Windows-only and we are happy with it.
Just some feedback I hope is valuable :)
