Discussion: Should the pistol model be made thicker?

There's been quite a few people who have already noticed that the pistol is almost as thin as the sword, which doesn't really make a lot of sense. So I'd like to know if there is interest in making it thicker (we wall obviously discuss how thick).

Please make sure to run such comparisons on the default FOV, as a too high FOV can give you a wrong impression.

That said, I don't think it's a real issue. Pistols can be quite thin, and sword grips can be rather wide. Maybe ~10% thicker might be appropriate, but that's it.

yeah, jfyi, I've tested it on 135 and 150 (which is btw ... shit, cuz the body looks so incredibly elongated) and on both it's really thin

We would also need a different animation for pistol1 and pistol2 since the damanges and rate of fire are different, and currently there is not way to know that IG

freem, I agree, btw, I also have a sound-pack that makes them quite easy to differentiate. but since we need to watch out for accessibility, a different animation would be really nice

I've heard it more than once that some weapons should also just ported from RE to BN, e.g., the shotgun. Has the pistol model been changed there? Maybe it's viable to port it to our game?
