I am very keen to make this work, not only to kick along model development for RE (& MekArcade, of course), but to try to increase the general expertise in modelling related to the Cube engine and maybe even find a bit of talent. To keep things organised and consistent with forum practices I was going to suggest keeping to the currrent system. So posts in this forum would fall into the following types of groups:
MODEL - finished models configured & ready to go in RE.
WIP - models you are working on, it may be because its a collective work, you want an opinon or you are just sick of it
TUTORIAL - if you do a modelling tutorial or find a good offsite one, post it hear
MODEL PACK- a model pack with finished models configured & ready to go, ideally on an RE map.
TIP - know something good, tell people
REQUEST - request for a model. You never know your luck.
HELP - specific help request.
CONCEPT - concept art
LINK - to models and resources
Note: above altered in response to later posts - 31/1/13.
What do people think of that sort of system? Are there others I have missed?
So for example Julius first post would become [Tip] Getting a model into the game. Actually I think it would be better if there was a little more detail in the title, particularly with modelling there are so many different apps/steps/platforms involved that some detail is neccesary, again using Julius post as an example. [Tip] Exporting an IQM model from Blender.
I will post a few examples of models, packs etc to see how it works.
I am not sure about links as seperate posts they may clutter things up a bit. It may be better to keep a couple of lists of links, as stickies. Things like:
  Tools/Plugins/Apps
  Cube ready models & collections
  General model collections and packs
  Tutorials
  Other Resources
Again, what do people think. If we did use sticky lists of links then they would have to be maintained. I would be happy to do some.
