Enable artist debug mode. Then you can use F9 to add swatters when you want them. But it's only for one player.
Keep your mouth closed while chewing your food! That's ALL I hear.

I think the route you chose is the only feasible (just love my vocab) way to do it.
Some people are like slinkies... not really good for anything, but you still can't help smiling when you shove them down the stairs.

It is the currently only feasible way, and the most reasonable as well.
