Rules haven't changed compared to the previous tournaments, each team still consists of 4 players and (most likely) plays with all other teams once.

The registration ends at January 30, 23:59 UTC, expect the matches to be held between February 1 and March 6.

This time, we even have a special addon arena called "Emerald Arena" which will have the karts of this tournament's top three teams added afterwards.

Basic rules haven't changed for a long time (4-player teams, all vs all format unless there are too many teams), but we'd like you to vote in our polls in the main page (https://luffah.xyz/wiki/supertuxkart/so ... 2_05#polls) or in discord, as we want to know your opinion on other details of the rules.

Suggestion for the next tournament: When the rules state that a random maps is chosen again, pick them from a curated whitelist of tracks instead of picking them from literally ALL add-ons. Which maps to include can be discussed, of course, the goal here is to prevent low-quality maps. The randomizer already has picked some weird maps so far. XD

It's still a fun tournament, tho. :P

I think this is unfair. Lets say that team A and B played well this tournament and they both have a score of 12:3 according to points and the number of matches they won. But if team A has a match that is drawn, then their score becomes 13:3 which is unfair to team B.

Well, with exactly one match being drawn it can never be 13:3 in terms of match points, either 13:1 (+12) or 10:4 (+6) or something even more far away from 13:3. And it seems like a drawn match should be ranked better than a lost match, shouldn't it?

Apparently the match A vs E is rated 3:1 in the crosstab. But how is that possible if only 3 games are played

According to the rules (for the tournament you are referring to, here they are: https://luffah.xyz/wiki/supertuxkart/so ... les#rating), a draw is counted as 1-1 towards match game score (while a win is counted as 0-1 or 1-0 depending on who won). This hasn't changed for a long time and still applies.

Another cool way to do it would be to let the team select the neutral map. Each team pick its home soccer field, then each team ban fields until one is left as the neutral one.

There's no completely random map selection since 2023 (it was voted out), so I don't see the reason for asking to remove that once again. When the random game in game 1 was introduced, it was also voted by the players. In fact, any new format is usually passing through a vote, either before the registration or during it, as players don't like playing something new without agreeing on it before.
