Red Eclipse - Dual Display problem

Red Eclipse - Dual Display problem

Postby chimbida » 18 Oct 2013, 15:54

Hi,

I'm running Red Eclipse on Ubuntu with 2 monitors, and Red Eclipse always use two monitors on fullscreen mode!

How can run the game using fullscreen mode using only one monitor?

(sry bad english)

all cube 2 games tend to do this, and my workaround is simple: windowed, no border, using the monitor where i have an auto-hide taskbar :P

I think you can also set a resolution to force it (it defaults to the resolution of the desktop). This is an SDL issue, not a Cube Engine one.

I tested that out... but I wouldn't recommend it:
-The second screen basically gets disabled. All windows from the second screen get moved to the first. The switching takes long.
I'm not sure if its possible in unity, but I can rightclick the border of a window and select "No Border" in KDE.
This window then completly behaves like a fullscreen - it gets full focus (your mouse can't escape it), it seems to leave the rest of the desktop alone, you have to alt-tab to get out, it is just notably quicker versus having actual fullscreen.
