Spherical surfaces

How to create a spherical surface in the editor? For example, a sphere, a cone, cylinder, etc?

in edit mode, you can use q or the scroll wheel to create angled surfaces. you can't create a perfect sphere, but you can make curved shapes. A cylinder is possible, maybe a cone... but not a sphere.

Thanks for the interesting and useful link, greaserpirate.
It is inspiring how the spheres were aligned with the grid of the octrees in order to represent them nicely with a relatively small number of nodes.

Сan create a spherical model in Blender, and then add them to the map.

Not neccesary, it is possible to create curves in the editor.. but if you want a perfect spherical surface then you will have to import a model.

The bounding box for collision testing will remain in the shape of cube. You can also disable model collisions entirely.
