This is by design :þ
Whether or not is is a nice change is another matter.
Powersliding is done via normal dashing and crouching nowadays.

Should probably note that it's better to come to us before trying to submit a "bug report" regarding the SVN version. We have been tinkering with new moves and trying to find combos to set them off has been difficult. If you need new features explained or anything, drop by our chat, we usually discuss things regarding current development there.

Fair enough, I'll chat in the future. This felt so awkward and counter-productive while moving that I felt compelled to report it
