[bug] Don't start on Fedora 14 64bit

Postby madbad » 05 Apr 2011, 20:34

I've downloaded this packaqge.
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
redeclipse_1.0_linux.tar.bz2    2011-03-15

When I try to start the game i get this error:
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
./redeclipse.sh: /home/madbad/Scrivania/redeclipse/bin/reclient_linux_64: /lib/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2: bad ELF interpreter: File o directory non esistente
./redeclipse.sh: line 61: /home/madbad/Scrivania/redeclipse/bin/reclient_linux_64: Successo

The lib RedEclipse is looking for (and not finding it)
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
/lib/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2

in Fedora 64 is located in
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
/lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2

I've resolved the issue making a link that point in the right place
But RedEclipse should look by default in the /lib64 dir for Fedora 64 bit.

Oh and thanks for the great game!

Does this work if you recompile the binaries? A similar error was seen on OpenSUSE I recall, so may this be the core issue, that the prcompiled binaries are too specific and thus not portable?
