Idea for future version... IRC admin.

I thought of this before, but had it re-cross my mind again. What if moderators had the ability to authenticate as a moderator/admin for a RE server via IRC. A lot of us idle in the IRC rooms even when we are not in the game, and occasionally you get the hero signal: someone is cheating, or needs disciplined... you know the routine. What if the game was able to authenticate you, and you were able to push console commands from IRC? I think it would be a useful idea, and thought it may be something to mention... for example... perhaps if you were able to do an irc string that the client would recognize and push the "kick function" or "Ban" or "Mute" etc... or even the ability to resetvars and do things like that for your players without even having to open Red Eclipse up to do it...

What do you guys think?

I think that you can't really be an effective moderator unless you're able to see/verify that people actually need action taken against them. This is why the idea has been around for a while, but been placed at a lower priority.
