Flexlay updates?

Flexlay updates?

Postby Danfun64 » 17 Jun 2016, 21:44

I was looking at the supertux github page, and noticed flexlay, which used to be the editor for supertux 0.1.3, now has its own repository (with commits newer than the c# based supertux editor). Which editor am I suppose to use?

"At the moment this is ineffably unstable, so you might as well not bother."

Still...is the c# editor being abandoned in favor of flexlay? What's going on?

Hi, I'm the developer currently working on Flexlay, as you may have seen by my commits.
Since the current state of the editor is not fit, I am making some serious changes to improve it.
I hope to be able to showcase these soon, but it will be a while before Flexlay is stable
"is the c# editor being abandoned in favor of flexlay?"
Yes, assuming the changes I am making are sufficient to make the two editors at least equal in capability.
Why? Because the C# editor is a pain[citation: it doesn't work on mac, and needs mono to run on Linux] to run.
