Two Forest Levels

Two Forest Levels

Postby RustyBox » 17 Apr 2016, 16:05

I have created two forest level, which could maybe be used as ideas for levels of the forest world.
1st Level: A Penguin in the Forest
2nd level: Above the Treetops

(The second level contains the airflower.)

I hope you like these levels. :)

A Penguin in the forest is alright, but I don't like the second one at all. It should not be necessary to use a powerup anyway, and the airflower is very hard to use and if lost almost impossible if not impossible to get it again.

You don't have to use the airflower for this level. I just put it in, because I thought that it fits into the level.

It seemed impossible for me to do otherwise at one of the jumps. And I personally think the airflower needs tweaking in general. I don't think it is worthy of "stable".

I think you're right. And I have noticed that if you collect more air flowers, then you can fly longer. (Or fall more slowly.)

I've just tested my level again. I played the level without using any PowerUps (as small Tux) and have managed each jump. One of the jump is a little bit difficult, because it is a bit difficult to build up speed. But with a bit of back and forth and hopping around, you can make this jump without using any PowerUps.

OK, but I suggest moving it down anyway.

Here. I've moved it down enough, so you can reach it better. :D

I liked them, too. Very close to the quality of the original levels. :)

@Hume: Can you integrate these two levels into the revamped forest island, that is, if RustyBox doesn't have anything against that?

@Rustybox: Did you specify licenses on the levels?

I still think that the second one is still too hard. Maybe I'm just not used to these styles of levels yet.
